Director of Global Engineering
Location: Singapore
If you are an Engineering Leader looking for an opportunity to grow your career, this role offers the chance to lead and shape global engineering strategy for Emerson’s Isolation Valves portfolio, including Ball Valve, Butterfly Valve, and Knife Gate Valve solutions. As the Engineering Director, you will combine your technical leadership with a strong people-first focus, driving engineering excellence, scalable processes, and commercial execution while also developing and empowering a globally diverse engineering organization.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Lead a globally distributed engineering organization supporting order and engineered-to-order execution, product development, research, and product lifecycle management across the Isolation Valves portfolio.
- Provide strategic leadership to align global engineering priorities with business objectives and customer needs, partnering closely with World Area leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Develop, coach, and retain engineering talent by fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture that values collaboration, continuous learning, and accountability.
- Optimize engineering resources and budgets to focus on the highest-value activities, balancing near-term execution with long-term capability building.
- Establish clear performance visibility through meaningful metrics, dashboards, and capacity planning tools to guide decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Drive global standardization of engineering tools, processes, and systems to improve consistency, efficiency, and scalability across regions and product lines.
Who You Are

For This Role, You Will Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering.
- Proven experience and demonstrated success leading global or geographically dispersed teams, with the ability to work across cultures and time zones.
- Strong track record of delivering results in a highly matrixed organization, navigating competing priorities and multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to assess complex processes quickly, identify gaps, and drive solutions.

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:
- Experience or knowledge of working in the Industrial Valves industry.
- Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
