ATE Engineer

Location: Sderot, Southern, Israel

• 3 years of software development experience, or 3 years in software plus 2 years in electrical engineering

• BSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electrical Engineering

• Hands-on experience with C / C++ and Python; Java is an advantage

• Experience integrating software with electronic instruments, fixtures and communication interfaces

• Experience with LabVIEW and desktop / front-end development – advantage

• Ability to read electrical schematics and flowcharts

• Experience in a high-volume, multidisciplinary production environment – advantage

• Hands-on use of AI coding assistants for code, unit-test, documentation and troubleshooting workflows

• Ability to provide structured context and specifications to AI tools, validate outputs and avoid unsupported assumptions

• Python data analysis of ATE logs and test results; familiarity with anomaly detection or failure-pattern analysis – advantage

• Awareness of secure and responsible AI use, including IP, data privacy, access control and human approval

• High-level English, strong self-learning ability and a hands-on, team-oriented approach

• Develop new ATE applications and automated test modules • Verify and validate test stations and production applications • Collaborate with technicians and engineers to troubleshoot software and hardware interaction issues • Manage source code and releases using Git • Maintain and modernize applications written in C, Python and LabVIEW • Improve existing applications, user interfaces, diagnostics and test coverage • Use approved AI-assisted engineering tools for code analysis, test generation, debugging and documentation, with human review and traceability
