Analytical Service Engineer

Location: Cairo, Egypt; Remote

Job Summary

As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering highquality aftermarket services that support customer operations and longterm reliability across Egypt. Based in Egypt, this role focuses on startup, commissioning, maintenance, and technical support for precision flow meters, multiphase flow meters, measurement products, process gas and liquid analyzers, and custody transfer metering systems. You will work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure safe, efficient, and effective service execution while contributing to customer satisfaction, loyalty, and service business growth.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Perform start‑up, commissioning, fault analysis, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance activities for measurement and analyzer systems, including planning, execution, and customer reporting.
  • Provide advanced technical support to customers to ensure reliable operation and maintenance of installed equipment.
  • Conduct site surveys, site walk‑downs, and installed‑base assessments to identify upgrade, service, and consulting opportunities.
  • Execute field modifications and upgrades independently or in collaboration with project leadership, as applicable.
  • Deliver technical training and support during escalated service matters, particularly related to measurement products.
  • Plan and execute Long‑Term Service Agreements (LTSA) and Annual Maintenance Contracts in line with contractual scope and terms.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support long‑term partnerships and growth of aftermarket services.
  • Monitor agreed performance metrics, analyze results, and take actions to meet or exceed service KPIs and execution standards.
  • Identify continuous improvement and innovation opportunities and support their implementation.
  • Ensure consistent application of Emerson business processes, tools, health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • A qualification in an engineering discipline such as instrumentation, electronics, electrical, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting field service, commissioning, maintenance, or technical support activities in an industrial environment.
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites while collaborating effectively with remote and cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and ethical work practices.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English.

 

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Experience supporting process control, measurement, or analyzer systems in industrial or energy environments.
  • Exposure to commissioning and start‑up of flow meters, analyzers, or custody transfer systems.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple service activities effectively.
  • Experience working directly with customers in field‑based or service‑oriented roles.
  • Ability to contribute to service improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing.
