Detailed Description:

Lilly International Business Unit Solution Services (IBU SS) is accountable for “Delivery” and “Operational" Excellence of the application portfolio and services consumed by the commercial affiliates within the international geography. Working across 120+ countries, IBU SS delivers multi-channel, digital, web, mobile, productivity and analytics services and solutions; supports the operations of the multi-channel content (marketing tactics production) and provides service management (support) to those services through a diverse and high-performing team located across 19 countries.

The IBU Solution Services Full Stack Lead is responsible for the “Technical Excellence of the cloud application and service portfolio for Lilly International. Technical Excellence is defined as the ability to foresee and eliminate an issue before it has the potential to jeopardize security, schedule, budget, sustainability, and most importantly, client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides technical leadership and consultancy to IBU Solution Services in close partnership with IBU Architect to ensure that the delivery of cloud solutions is aligned with the Enterprise IT architecture.
  • Leads external vendor partners to build a cost-effective solution and deploy it on a Cloud platform (AWS/ Azure)
  • Creates and reviews system designs to leverage existing standards or evaluate alternative technologies.
  • Reviews development quotations provided by external service providers and challenges them if needed.
  • Directs external service providers who develop and implement solutions to follow the agreed system design.
  • Assists in the scoping of user stories and the review of effort estimates.
  • Reviews source code provided by external service providers.
  • Ensures coding standards or technical implementation guides are in place for IBU cloud platforms or technologies and educates external service providers to ensure they are followed.
  • Acts as a mentor and guide to individual team members that want to learn or adopt a new cloud technology.
  • Collaborates with external service providers and IBU Service Management to prioritize and resolve incidents for IT systems and perform problem management to ensure resolution of root causes.
  • Helps to establish a DevSecOps to improve the quality, security, automation capabilities and stability of our cloud solutions.
  • Identifies synergies and reuse opportunities to improve efficiency and cost savings.
  • Identifies and drives proof of concepts for emerging technologies at Lilly and helps the IBU Solution Services team prepare for the adoption of these technologies.

Technical Skills Requirement:

(6 to 8) years of experience in FULL STACK DEVELOPMENT which includes server-side code, database and API integrations, and front-end website development.

  • Experience with development of cloud applications. This includes coding standards, programming, code reviews, source management (GitHub)
