24/7 Nurse Line - Call Center
Location: Alternate locations may be considered.
Schedule: Weekend Third Shift (shift differential eligible). Either 3 days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) 10 hour shifts OR 4 Days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday / Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday) 10 hour shift. Shift time options range from starting shift between 5-7 PM and ending shift between 5:30-7:30 AM.
The Nurse Demand Management II. is responsible for telephone triage to assess more complex caller's needs, provide relevant health information to assist caller in making healthcare decisions, and identify and manage the linkage with appropriate resources.
How you will make an impact:
- Establishes and maintains supportive relationships with callers and their families.
- Performs professional assessment of caller's needs with accurate, concise documentation.
- Conducts thorough symptom assessment of caller's situation using established criteria and protocol.
- Utilizes established software, written materials, on-line resources and nursing background to provide callers with appropriate medical information.
- Provides caller with appropriate community resources.
- Assists lower level and refers only more complex issues as needed for consultation.
- May assist in problem solving, with the development of policies and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
- Requires AS in nursing and minimum of 3 years of acute clinical experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
- Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state(s) required.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
- BSN and previous triage experience preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
- Call Center experience preferred.
