What you'll do:
 

As a Product Development Engineer, you will participate on the design and development of refrigerator Ice & Water systems and sub-assemblies, across multiple product architectures produced in multiple countries. If you are passionate about innovation, can easily communicate and collaborate with otherse, and can't wait to find a place to exercise all of your creativity, here's the opportunity you've been looking for! In detail, you will:

- Develop technical solutions for projects, managing activities of scoping, designing from concept to production and creating functional prototypes;
- Manager later stages of product development, such as test and design verification, market introduction and post launch value engineering plans;
- Investigate and prescribe optimized materials and manufacturing processes, looking beyond current material and manufacturing standards and integrating outside industry best practices;
- Generate and contribute to the generation of technical innovation; 
- Test and approve Articles of Acceptance to populate the technology “cupboard” for components and sub-assembly systems; 
- Write risk assessments and contribute to test plans for new components and suppliers; 
- Ensure patents are cleared for the use of newly developed technology; 
- Ensure components have agency compliance certificates. 

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Who you are:
 

You have:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical Business School degree;
- Experience with the development of plastic and metallic parts; 
- Experience with CAD software and detailed drawings (CATIA V5.0); 
- Experience and/or knowledge of manufacturing and consumer innovation are pluses; 

- Strong understanding of engineering principles, developing mechanical models, interpreting test data, and model simulation and validation.  

- Knowledge of injection molds, stamping tools, thermoforming and plastic extrusion processes; 
- Advanced Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project); 
- Advanced English. 

Where you'll be:

 You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work. It will be necessary to be available for national and international travel for up to 6 weeks at a time. Benefits include:
