All about the role:

Here at Electrolux, the Product Care Engineering team focuses on Cost Reduction actions, developing, implementing and optimizing components, subgroups, solutions and specifications. They're aligned with our strategies in terms of excellence in cost, quality and sustainability, and are always committed with our customer needs, working at the forefront of shaping living for the better through the development of products that meet people’s demands in terms of taste, care and wellbeing.

What you'll do:

As a R&D Cost Reduction and Product Care Engineer – LATAM Food Preservation, you will be part of Curitiba Food Preservation Product Care and Cost Out team and will be involved to actuate in cost reduction programs for Refrigerators and Freezers, focusing in metallic components. The successful candidate is asked to identify, develop and implement cost reduction projects aligned with a Strategic Plan, Technology Roadmap and Product Line Generation Plan.

In detail, you will:

• Research and promote feasibility of innovative materials and components application looking for cost saving, quality improvement and sustainability;

•  Develop innovative solutions of components and sub-systems aligned with concepts of DFMA (Design for Manufactory and Assembly) and modularization, working to improve Direct Material and Transformation costs;

• Lead, engage and manage multi-functional team to guarantee deliverables to implement engineering changes and new suppliers approval through cost out programs;

• Keep a clear communication, collaboration and alignment with the main stakeholders in order to stablish and maintain a Technology Roadmap and Strategic Plan of the main commodities;

• Project financial analysis and business case evaluation to apply investments (CAPEX) and provide the best payback;

• Continuously evaluate the competitors launching. Perform benchmarking and teardown;

• Quality improvement and Digital Transformation mindset;

• Commitment with continuous improvement and profitability of the company;

• Fully apply the company’s programs, policies and objectives.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).

Who you are:

You have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Materials or Mechanical

• Basic Skills on components and assemblies 3D modeling (Catia Desirable);

• Solid experience in R&D with product development, quality improvement or cost reduction activities;

• Solid knowledge of engineering materials and processes (e. g. metal, plastics, stamping, injection, enameling);

• Advanced Office skills;

• Advanced English.

Where you'll be:

You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work.
