What you'll do:
As a Product Development Engineer (Material), you will manage and drive projects and initiatives in the area of sustainable materials, evaluating solutions to be applied across all products and contributing to reduce the environmental footprint. You will be part of a talented team consisting of material engineers, chemists, physicists, and lab technicians to identify, recommend, develop and industrialize new materials.

In detail, you will:
Support the strategy development for sustainable materials.
Drive innovation and standardization projects in the sustainable materials area.
Feed the Technology Roadmap and keep it updated.
Bring people together to work in projects/initiatives and collaborate in an international environment with multiple functions and teams.
Teamwork with Purchasing for material sourcing as well as with R&D for material implementation in products.
Interact with suppliers for materials development and support laboratory validation.
Build and maintain internal and external networks (e.g. institutes, industry, suppliers).
Regular communication of achievements in check-points, events and workshops.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/C2W).
Who you are:
You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Materials engineering, Chemical engineering or similar (MSc is a plus).
- Solid technical background in materials science and technology.
- Experience working in materials development.
- Experience with R&D process and project management.
- Advanced Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).
- Experience and network with materials circularity is desirable.
- Knowledge of IT tools (CAD, PLM…) is a plus.
- Advanced English.
Where you'll be:
You will be based at the Guabirotuba plant in Curitiba. One of the focal points for all Latin American Electrolux operations, this plant is the base for over 3200 collaborators, all focused on transforming the way the world lives by shaping lives for the better with their work. It will be necessary to be available for national and international travel for up to 6 weeks at a time. Benefits include:
