What you’ll do:
We are looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join the Validation & Mechanical Lab team, specializing in NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness). This role involves hands‑on experimental testing using Brüel & Kjær and HBM instruments, modal analysis, structural dynamics assessments, and rotational machinery behavior evaluation in washing machines, washing dryers, dryers and dishwashers perform according to requirements. You will also support simulation technical discussions with global architecture teams, providing tests results to validate numerical models. A key part of the role is contributing to the creation, improvement, and consumer-oriented refinement of NVH test procedures.
In detail, you will:
- Execute NVH tests using Brüel & Kjær instrumentation to reduce noise, vibration, and mechanical failures in washers, dryers, and dishwashers.
- Perform structural tests following global Electrolux procedures and propose new or improved test methodologies.
- Conduct acoustic and structural assessments to identify and mitigate key noise and vibration sources.
- Prepare and optimize test setups to ensure repeatability, quality, and safety.
- Analyze dynamic behavior of rotating systems such as drum, motor, and transmission.
- Support prototype evaluations by identifying issues like resonances, imbalance, and structural weaknesses.
- Process vibration/acoustic data (FFT, order tracking, FRF, ODS, filtering, statistics) and deliver data‑driven engineering reports; contribute to NVH procedure development.
As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
- Experience in laboratory environment, with strong technical writing and laboratory safety skills
- Hands‑on experience with Brüel & Kjær instrumentation and other sensor instruments (temperature, rotation, flow, torque, etc)
- Solid knowledge of vibrations, acoustics, modal analysis, and rotating machinery dynamics.
- Knowledge of simulation tools.
- IA knowledge applied to develop data analysis tools.
- Familiarity with Jira, Team Center, Ms-Project or similar tools.
- Advanced English, Spanish is a plus.
Where you’ll be:
You will be based at the Curitiba Factory Plant, located in Guabirotuba. It will be necessary to be available for national and international traveling two to four times a year. Benefits include:
