Global Electrolux Talent Program presents:

The Global Electrolux Talent Program is a proactive initiative that brings together young talent across various functions and global offices of Electrolux. This program is for you, who are interested in a global, hands-on experience in an intercultural setting with the goal of securing global employment opportunities within the company upon a successful completion of the internship.

Junior Software Engineer (JAVA) – Podernone, Italy

As Junior Software Engineer, you are a critical part of the “Quality & Compliance Solutions” Team which is responsible for the IT solutions related to Quality and Product Compliance within Electrolux, solutions used on a daily basis across the World by thousands of people. You will bring a fundamental contribute to design, implement, and maintain great solutions (especially the ones involving JAVA code) using the latest cutting-edge technologies.
You will receive the functional specifications from the Solution Architect and you will translate them into technical specifications for the developers’ Team. You will secure the good quality and adherence to the Company standards of the code developed with the proper test plan and then deploy the new features in the environments, both on premises and on Cloud. Together with the Solution Architect, you will provide Level 3 support for the solutions. Also, you will take care of the “fast lane”, directly fixing urgent bugs and autonomously developing small features and easy changes: this is a role that combines management with hands on operational tasks.
It is expected that you can independently drive and organize work, are collaborative and able to find solutions even in challenging situations. 

A regular day at work: 
• Create the technical specifications for the JAVA developers’ Team, based on the functional specifications provided to you by the Architects.
• Define and perform the Quality Assurance on the code developed.
• Provide Level 3 support for software bugs.
• Monitor the health status of the solutions.
• Define the coding standards and coding best practices for the JAVA developers’ Team.
• Create, maintain, and manage the source code repositories.
• Design and implement bug fixes, mainly in JAVA.
• Desing and implement code improvements / new small features, mainly in JAVA.
• Manage and perform the new releases deployment of the solutions.

Experience, knowledge, skills and abilities:
• Experience with developing IT solutions using JAVA
• Experience of the following: Spring Boot, Hibernate (including HQL), JMS (including MDP), JDBC, SQL, JSONPath, JOSE
• Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and able to dive into new subjects and quickly learn new technologies and translate them into implemented solutions
• Ability to work independently and focus on deliverables and great communication, coaching and collaborations skills within a multi-cultural environment
• Strong interpersonal skills - builds relationships with internal stakeholders and third parties
• Innovative and with a genuine interest in technology and a pragmatic approach to delivery
• Able and willing to travel as required
• Very good English skills, both verbal and written

It is a plus the follow:
• Knowledge of the following is beneficial: Thymeleaf, Liberty Application Server, Apache JMeter, OpenTelemetry, JavaScript/TypeScript, React, PrimeReact, Websocket, PostgreSQL, Microsoft Azure, C#, Microsoft Visual Studio, EntityFramework, containerization, MVC, Domain Driven Design, source control management systems (e.g. GIT), ITIL
