All about the role:
We are looking for an EMC senior engineer be part of the EMC laboratory team, in the context of the EMC&NVH organization, with the opportunity to collaborate on challenging assignments. The requested person has responsibility to test Food Preparation appliances, reuse or develop EMC solutions if necessary, and produce documentation and test reports, according to constrains of quality and time.
You will have the chance to further consolidate competence in EMC regulation, instruments, and procedures, in a state-of-the-art laboratory. On top of that, you will have opportunity to work in an R&D department of a multinational company that has ambition to “shape living for better”.
What you’ll do:
You will apply engineering principles to effectively accomplish goals and objectives on time and within cost constraints. Interface with all departments, vendors, and customers within the scope of the position. Provides engineering management periodic status updates as required.
In detail, you will:
Execute EMC tests according to international and internal standards and project test plans.
Set up complex measurement configurations and operate instrumentation such as EMI receivers, spectrum analyzers, LISNs, oscilloscopes, ESD/EFT generators, antennas, clamps.
Ensure correct calibration status and proper use of laboratory equipment.
Prepare accurate EMC Test Reports following the approved workflow.
Analyse EMC failures and troubleshoot appliances and electronic controls to identify root causes.
Propose and validate EMC countermeasures in collaboration with Electronics and R&D teams.
Build, test, and characterise prototype circuits and components where needed.
Create, update, and maintain EMC setups and procedures to align with standards evolution.
Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory methodologies, workflows, and equipment capabilities.
Support assessment of new instruments or technologies for EMC testing.
Act as a subject-matter expert for EMC-related questions in projects.
Support less-experienced colleagues by sharing best practices and technical knowledge.
Interface with internal departments, suppliers, and external bodies when required.
Who you are:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or similar.
5–10 years of experience in EMC testing, debugging, or electronic design with EMC focus.
Strong knowledge of EMC standards, test methods, instrumentation, and measurement uncertainty.
Ability to read and understand complex electrical/electronic schematics (inverters, power supplies, power devices, motors).
Experience with design-for-EMC principles applied to appliances or power electronics.
Good understanding of RED and CE regulatory frameworks.
Good understanding of ISO/IEC 17025 principles, including laboratory quality practices, traceability, uncertainty evaluation, and process robustness.
Demonstrated commitment to excellence in R&D laboratory environments, ensuring high standards in measurement discipline, documentation, equipment handling, and continuous improvement.
Analytical mindset, structured approach, and high level of precision.
Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and problem-solving attitude.
Ability to manage workload peaks and operate effectively under time constraints.
Good communication skills and teamwork attitude.
Fluent English (spoken and written).
