All about the role:

We are looking for an Enterprise DevOps / Platform Engineer with a strong focus on Developer Experience (DevEx) to own and evolve our GitHub platform and SDLC tooling at enterprise scale. In this role, you will sit in Central IT and act as the platform owner and enabler for thousands of developers across IT and the wider business, driving developer productivity, self-service capabilities, and best-in-class engineering experiences while shaping how software is built, secured, and delivered across a global manufacturing organization.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a an Enterprise DevOps / Platform Engineer to own and evolve our GitHub platform and SDLC tooling at enterprise scale. In this role, you will sit in Central IT and act as the platform owner and enabler for thousands of developers across IT and the wider business, shaping how software is built, secured, and delivered across a global manufacturing organization.

In detail, you will:

• Own and evolve GitHub as an enterprise platform (structure, access, governance, integrations)

• Define and drive enterprise SDLC standards and “golden paths”

• Lead the development of a developer portal and self‑service capabilities

• Evangelize modern DevOps and software engineering practices

• Partner with architecture, security, and platform teams to balance autonomy and compliance.

• Champion and drive Developer Experience (DevEx) initiatives across the organization by reducing developer friction, improving developer productivity, and enabling self-service engineering platforms

• Own and evolve GitHub as an enterprise platform (structure, access, governance, integrations)

• Define and drive enterprise SDLC standards and “golden paths”

• Lead the development of a developer portal and self-service capabilities

• Evangelize modern DevOps and software engineering practices

• Partner with architecture, security, and platform teams to balance autonomy and compliance.

As part of the culture of continuous improvement, you will be involved in Lean Thinking projects and activities (EMS/EAI).

Who you are:

- Strong understanding of Developer Experience (DevEx) principles, including developer productivity, developer portals, self-service platforms, developer journey optimization, and platform engineering practices.

- Proven experience driving adoption of developer platforms, tools, and engineering standards across large, federated organizations.

- University Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- Strong experience running GitHub (or similar) at enterprise scale- Advanced proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and GitHub for version control and CI/CD workflows.

- Deep understanding of SDLC, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.

- Experience influencing adoption across large, federated organizations.

- Ability to translate governance into developer‑friendly platforms.

- Fluent English.
