Database Expert

Location: Ho Chi Minh, Viet Nam

Your responsibilities

• Manage DB health and services to ensure the highest standards of availability, resilience, integrity, security, tuning, and performance, backups and recovery plans.
• Participate in transformation and architecture projects, related to AWS, OCI Cloud
• Execute disaster recovery plans and procedures to ensure database availability during system outages or dysfunction.
• Support development teams on database aspects.
• Join operations sessions with customers for live monitoring, troubleshooting, fine-tuning production database
• Monitor and resolve issues of both Production and Integration environments
   

Your qualifications

• At least 10 years experience in DB Administration (Oracle, MongoDB), performance tuning, and backup/recovery strategies.
• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL, SQL performance optimization, and Oracle database security best practices.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telco, or related fields.
• Strong experience on MongoDB, Oracle, MySQL, Postgres, DB cloud platform (OCI, AWS).
• Strong experience on database optimization: PL/SQL, tuning, ETL, Data Warehousing.
• DB experience and hands on on Oracle Database, DR, DB peft optimization, backup, DB admin,…
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent self-learning skills, be able to self-research & propose solutions to database problems.
• Accurate, Organized, Detail oriented, Proactive, Caring, and Curious.
• Flexible shift working in big events or per requirement.
   

Nice to have

• Strong with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and database as a service (DBaaS).
• Experience on IaC - Terraform, Ansible.
• Willingness to work on Shifts schedule.
