Job Description

U.S. Bank is seeking the position of Senior Software Engineer in Irving, Texas.  

Essential Responsibilities:

The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for leading the development of a customer facing profile and settings feature, ensuring that information is securely stored and sensitive personal details can be retrieved efficiently. Leverage Java and Spring Boot to build a robust and scalable backend, with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability. Utilize React, modern design principles and best practices to create a user-friendly interface for managing account settings and preferences. Implement GraphQL and Schema UI to enable efficient data retrieval and management. Utilize Spring Batch Job to efficiently process large data sets in batches, Cassandra to provide reliable storage, and Kafka to enable real-time data streaming. Integrate third-party APIs into existing systems. Implement technical analysis and system administration tasks, including performance monitoring and troubleshooting. Develop unit tests for existing codebase using JUnit framework. Lead project documentation and technical writing efforts, creating clear and concise guides for stakeholders. Position may allow working from home within commuting distance of worksite location. Multiple positions.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Master’s degree in Information Systems Security or Computer Science, plus 2 years of experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related. Will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems Security or Computer Science, plus 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related in lieu of a Master’s degree plus 2 years of experience.

Required Skills/Experience:

Must possess 2 years of experience with Master’s or 5 years of experience with Bachelor’s with each of the following: (a) designing and implementing user interfaces for web-based applications; (b) developing detailed test plans, test cases and test scenarios for different application modules according to functional requirements and business specifications (c) working with Docker to improve CI/CD Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery framework to streamline releases; (d) utilizing all of the following: Java; JavaScript; Typescript; CSS; DevOps; HTML; Kubernetes; Spring Frameworks; GIT; API; REST APIs; Postman; Agile methodologies; Jira; Maven; React; Eclipse; JSON; Junit; Scala; GraphQL Python; Cassandra; Kafka; Azure; Docker; Jenkins; Python; TDD; and Microservices.

Base pay range may vary if an offer is made for work in a different location. Pay Range: $105,997 - $176,100.
