Purpose:

The Senior Tax & Accounting Associate (T&A) for Nordics will be responsible for P2P, R2R, O2C, pricing processes and serve as back-up to the Tax& Accounting Manager. The role will include collaborating with the local commercial operations team, the Elanco Solutions Center (ESC) in Warsaw and the regional & corporate accounting teams. They will act as the single point of contact (SPOC) for P2P, performing monthly closing entries, supporting outside statutory and tax service providers, preparing and supporting internal and external audit requirements. This role is the missing piece to the newly formed Elanco Nordics finance team.

Key Responsibilities & Deliverables:

- Procurement-to-Pay (P2P):

• Monitoring of recurring expenses, reclass of various expense categories (leasing, pension etc.)
• Month-end closing management of Purchase Orders (PO) accruals & Limit PO accruals: follow-up on missing invoices, correct period allocation etc.
• P2P flow management - SPOC to the ESC and the Business Unit assistants (reminders, review vendor accounts, urgent payments, reconciliation of vendors etc.)
• Support and management of PO's creation process by the business assistants

- VAT:

• Recurring controlling of VAT refund of travel expenses from Concur by BlueDot
• Recurring controlling of VAT refund on Vendor invoices Assets
• Reconciliation of depreciation run
• Manage investment requests - capture all new investments in SAP
• Monitoring of leasing assets
• Yearly inventory count (office furniture, IT equipment, etc.)

- Order-to-Cash (O2C):

• Monthly participation in Aged Debt Calls
• Accounts Receivables Bad Debt calculation

- Record -to-Report (R2R):

• Prepare reconciliations (Blackline) on Key and Non-Key accounts within area of responsibility
• Prepare and deliver documentation for auditors as agreed with Tax & Accounting Manager
• Reconciliation of ICO Balance account between various legal entities
• Monthly intercompany billing from the Danish entity to its branches

- Sales Controlling:

• Monitoring and postings of accruals to sales rebate agreements Inventory in transit clearing
• Maintaining sale prices and discount conditions at our LSP & in SAP:

- I. handle price disputes with customers or our LSP (Logistics Partner)

- II. manage price increases yearly and ad-hoc - based on HoF feedback

- III. manage price database for the Nordic business (5 countries)

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree (or similar) in Finance or Accounting, or equivalent work experience
• Proven analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
• Proven compliance orientation based on prior operational business roles - Ability to work in local/ regional/ global team environment and communicate effectively with both internal business partners of all levels & disciplines as well as external stakeholders such as auditors and tax authorities
• Fluency in English language
• Experience with SAP

Additional Skills / Preferences:

• Accounting and tax experience in Multinational Companies
• Knowledge of US GAAP and/or IFRS
• Chartered accountant, CPA or equivalent preferred
