What You Will Do:
- Design, develop, and maintain large-scale software platforms that serve millions of users globally.
- Contribute significantly to the architecture and evolution of our core data platform.
- Build and deploy microservices using modern containerization frameworks like Docker and Kubernetes to power all Eightfold products.
- Deliver high-performance, reliable, and scalable solutions leveraging best-in-class technologies.
- Diagnose and resolve complex problems within our distributed systems environment.
- Support the seamless deployment and operation of our products across various environments.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, Analytics, Marketing, and Business teams to drive successful product development.
What You Bring:
- Expertise in building and optimizing high-performance systems.
- 1+ years of hands-on experience with software service containerization in real-world production systems.
- 1+ years of experience in backend development, specifically with technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of distributed system design principles.
- Excellent problem-solving and data analysis skills.
- Proficient in modern AI tools in software development (like: GenAI, Cursor, Claude)
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka).
- US Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is preferred.
Pay Transparency
Please note this role is categorized as hybrid in Santa Clara, CA The base salary ranges below are provided for pay transparency. Base pay is only one piece of our total compensation package as this role is eligible for bonus and equity awards. Compensation varies depending on a number of factors including qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and zones determined by location. SF Bay Area, CA is in Zone A.
Base annual salary range: $120,750 to $161,000 USD + discretionary bonus up to 10% + preIPO equity (stock options).

Employees based near our Santa Clara office are expected to work from the office three days per week, as we believe regular in-person engagement is essential to how we build high-impact products and strong teams.
