Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Engineer specializing in Roads Operations and Maintenance (O&M) to join our team in Doha, Qatar. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the electrical systems of Qatar's road infrastructure.
- Design, develop, and implement electrical systems for road operations and maintenance projects
- Analyze and optimize existing electrical infrastructure to improve efficiency and performance
- Conduct site inspections and assessments to identify potential issues and recommend solutions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems with other road infrastructure components
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
- Troubleshoot complex electrical problems and provide timely solutions
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, safety standards, and industry best practices
- Participate in project planning and budgeting processes
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements in road electrical systems and recommend improvements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in road operations and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, particularly in relation to road infrastructure
- Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software
- Experience with traffic management systems and road lighting
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Familiarity with Qatar's road infrastructure and electrical standards
- Knowledge of local regulations and safety standards
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred
- Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are a plus
- Must be a Qatari National
