Job Description

We're looking for a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Project Manager to join our transportation team in Bengaluru, India. In this role, you will provide essential support to our project management operations, working closely with transportation teams and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope. You will be instrumental in coordinating logistics activities, maintaining project documentation, and facilitating communication across multiple departments. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your project management expertise while contributing to the smooth execution of transportation initiatives.

  • Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and timelines for transportation projects
  • Coordinate with transportation teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project objectives and deliverables
  • Monitor project progress against established timelines and identify potential delays or risks
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting notes, action items, and status reports
  • Track project budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports and performance metrics to project leadership
  • Support the identification, analysis, and mitigation of project risks
  • Assist in logistics coordination activities, including scheduling, routing, and resource planning
  • Organize and facilitate project meetings and maintain accurate records
  • Provide administrative support to the project management team as needed

Qualifications

**Required Skills and Experience:**

  • Foundational knowledge of project management principles and methodologies
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software (such as MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, or similar platforms)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in data analysis and report generation
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in documentation and record-keeping
  • Familiarity with transportation or logistics operations is a plus

**Preferred Skills and Experience:**

  • Prior experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain management
  • Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) or related software
  • Experience with budget tracking and cost management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Experience with process improvement and optimization initiatives
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the transportation industry
