Candidate's Note: This role is 100% remote position for candidates based in the United States (preference to CST/PST time zones)
We are looking for a stellar Platform Engineer. As a member of the team, you’ll work on designing and building the future of Postgres development tooling.
What your impact will be:
- Designing and developing platform technology for our next generation management software in our hybrid & multi-cloud management team
- Leveraging cloud environments to scale our development and test systems
- Monitoring and improving the performance and usability of existing tools and environments
- Collaborating with engineers throughout EDB to ensure we are using standard methodologies to build scalable, secure, and operationally sound tools and systems
What you will bring:
- 3-5 years of experience with Golang, Python, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, OpenShift
- 3-5 years of experience with major cloud providers: AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud
- 3-5 years of experience in Terraform
- Familiarity with microservice, distributed, and event-driven architectures
- Solid understanding of Linux/UNIX and comfortable working in a command line-centric environment
- Experience developing, automating, implementing and maintaining IaC (Infrastructure as Code)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed international team
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Calm and methodical approach with good communication skills
What will give you an edge:
- Experience with NIST SSDF requirements
- Build and operate systems in audited environments (e.g., SOC2, PCI, FedRAMP)
- Proficiency in automating and optimizing SDLC processes
- In-depth knowledge of Unix systems and networking technologies
- In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies
- Experience working within a “you build it, you own it” culture
Compensation Range (DOE/Location)=$125-150k max base + annual variable bonus
