eBay Payments China team plays critical roles on whole eBay’s versatile business. The team is building the platform to support various areas including creating next-generation of checkout/payments experience, collecting seller fees and many others. The mission of team is to build world-class payment platform to delight our customers and enable eBay’s growing business in a connected commerce world.

Primary Job Responsibilities

·       Be responsible for building eBay Payments system in high quality

·       Active contributor on development of complex, multi-tier distributed software applications

·       Design layered application, including user interface, business functionality, and database access.

·       Work with software architects and other developers to develop innovative solutions that meet market needs.

·       Estimate engineering efforts, plan implementations, and rollout system changes

·       Participate in continuous improvement of Payment product to achieve better quality

·       Participate in requirement/design meetings with other PD/PM from US

Job Requirements

·       Excellent understanding of computer science fundamentals, algorithms and data structures

·       BS/BA in CS or related field. MS preferred.

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

·       Good thinking and understanding on OO programing and design patterns

. A quick learner with a strong aptitude for acquiring new skills and adapting to new technologies

·       Highly skilled in Java development with a deep understanding of the language's core concepts and development practices

·       Experience with database, rational or NoSQL (Oracle, MongoDB, etc.)

·       Experience with or a strong interest in machine learning and large language models (LLMs) is a plus

·       Understanding of web technologies and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, React, Node.js) is a plus

·       Experience working in a collaborative team environment

·       Strong written and verbal communication abilities in English
