About the team and the role:

We are looking for an outstanding Full Stack Engineer with AWS experience to work with as we redefine the face of eBay. You’ll be working with a world class team of engineers, designers, product managers, and analysts to create great products that make a difference on one of the world’s most trafficked and loved websites. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of backend development experience with Python and exposure to front end (React), working with high velocity teams. We want to work with the best, and we’d love for you to join us.

What will you accomplish:

• Develop features and services in highly scalable and reliable backend systems in a distributed system environment.

• Write clean, high-quality, well-tested and maintainable code.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation to support software applications.

• Own multiple subsystems within a larger domain, taking full responsibility for their entire life cycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

• Propose and evaluate multiple design options, providing estimates for each.

• Structure and complete tasks independently, meeting deadlines and achievements.

• Effectively communicate assumptions and seek clarification from partners, ensuring alignment and understanding across all domains.

What you will bring:

• 5+ years of experience in building large scale, distributed web platforms/APIs as full stack developer

• 2+ years of experience with AWS cloud services such as Lambda, Cognito, EKS, OpenSearch, Kinesis, S3, SNS, and SQS as well as infrastructure tools (ex:- Kubernetes, Docker) 

• Experience in building web applications using React framework

• Experience in designing GraphQL/Restful APIs, and building server-side components in Python (must have), NodeJS or other backend programming languages.

• Experiences in designing complex data models with RDBMS and NoSQL datastores.

• Experience in leading small projects from inception to shipping is preferable.

• Strong learning ability, self-driven

• Delivers results in fast-paced environments (agile, TDD, CI/CD)

• Strong CS foundation (data structures, algorithms, OOPs, OOA/D)

• Innovative, teammate, excellent communication and decision-making
