About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks MTS 1, Software Engineer in San Jose, CA

What you will accomplish: Design, develop and deploy multi-tier software applications, complete solutions and maintain products. Test, release, triage, bug fix, document the cycles in product development and maintenance. Collaborate closely with peers, Architects, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Quality Engineers, and Operations teams to develop innovative software solutions that meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, realistic implementation schedules, and adherence to testing goals and principles. Assess business problems, design optimal solutions and drive implementation to meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations. Guide junior and senior engineers in team and across domain teams in building scalable, high speed, distributed applications, and advocate for meeting design and quality standards. Adapt technological developments and build Proof of Concepts (POCs) to demonstrate. Telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.

What you will bring:

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or a closely related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base Salary: $226,158.00-262,900.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
