Eaton is looking for a Senior Manager, AI Engineering Lead who will join our Corporate IT team, and architect, develop, and deploy enterprise AI solutions, ensuring scalability and integration into Eaton’s existing IT systems supporting over 80,000 employees globally. They will report to the VP of Innovation and collaborate in a highly matrixed organization to deliver AI solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across the organization, aligning with the company's strategic goals and enhancing overall business performance. The role can be located at any Eaton U.S location and 25% travel is required.
What you’ll do:
• Define the technical requirements for projects aligned to organizational goals and then architect, develop, and deploy scalable enterprise AI solutions that integrate with existing IT systems.
• Lead AI model development and foster engineering collaboration.
• Successfully lead the development and implementation of AI models, including machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex AI-related challenges.
• Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of AI solutions.
• Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers in AI development and best practices.
• Ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Partner with professionals at varying levels, regions, roles, functions of the organization to successful business outcomes.
• Design and build AI-driven platforms, pipelines, and APIs that integrate with enterprise IT.
• Implement and scale LLMs, GenAI, predictive analytics, and ML models for business applications.
• Partner with IT, cloud, and data engineering teams to ensure AI systems are scalable and secure.
• Optimize AI models for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
Qualifications:
Basic (Required) Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in AI/ML engineering with hands-on production, development, and deployment in large, corporate environments to achieve efficiencies across cost and performance.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience integrating AI into enterprise software (SAP, Salesforce, ERP, IoT).
• Expertise in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, AWS/GCP/Azure AI services, MLOps frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or C++.
• Proven ability to optimize AI models for efficiency, cost, and performance.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of data engineering and big data technologies.
• Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role.
• Experience in manufacturing, supply chain, or industrial AI applications.

At Eaton, we strive to provide compensation and benefits that attract, engage, and retain the best talent. This includes competitive pay and a variety of benefit programs for eligible employees. The expected annual salary range for this role is $175,000-$250,000 a year. This role is also eligible for a variable incentive program.
