What you’ll do:

We are looking for a Senior Firmware Test Engineer to strengthen firmware quality and test automation for our UPS products. In this role, you will play a key part in the FW test automation project, developing and leading automated test solutions across the embedded firmware lifecycle in close collaboration with global engineering teams. Your responsibilities will be:\

• Design, develop, and maintain automated firmware tests for UPS and CPS product lines.
• Own firmware test planning, including creation and execution of structured test plans for product features.
• Define and implement test strategies to verify system, power, and product requirements.
• Lead firmware testing activities and contribute to functional and design reviews throughout the development lifecycle.
• Integrate firmware tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and early defect detection.
• Analyze test results, investigate failures, and drive root cause analysis together with firmware and system engineers.
• Document test solutions, results, and releases in accordance with company quality and compliance processes.
• Act as a technical test expert within the project team, supporting task prioritization and technical decision‑making.
• Continuously improve testing practices by applying modern embedded software testing tools and methodologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant industry experience
• OR Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with 5+ years of relevant industry experience

Skills:

• Strong experience in firmware test design and test infrastructure development for complex embedded systems.
• Hands‑on experience developing automated test solutions using frameworks such as Robot Framework and Python.
• Experience with test‑driven development or similar quality‑focused development approaches.
• Solid knowledge of version control systems (Git).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills for embedded and system‑level issues.
• Experience with embedded software development or testing using C/C++ and Python.
• Practical experience using laboratory equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes, multimeters).
• Ability to work safely in a high‑voltage laboratory environment.
• Experience working in Agile development environments (e.g. Scrum).
• Self‑driven, detail‑oriented team player with strong ownership and communication skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
