This position reports to the Engineering Manager, R&D Aftermarket Services, and is part of the R&D Aftermarket Services team.

The role works closely with the EMEA Services organization on several defined R&D projects, with sales impact ranging from €100K to €2M.

The Services & Aftermarket EMEA business has a strong growth strategy supported by Eaton’s extensive installed base of Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems, built over more than 60 years across the region. In line with Eaton’s sustainability objectives—and the broader global market shift toward sustainable solutions—many legacy products are currently transitioning to more environmentally friendly technologies. For example, oil‑insulated switchgear is progressively being replaced by vacuum‑insulated alternatives.
This position is an on‑site role based in Sincan, Ankara.

What you’ll do:

Develop standardized mechanical retrofit design solutions for Aftermarket Low Voltage and Medium Voltage systems.
Define technical specifications and create concept design options.
Validate design concepts through engineering calculations and simulations.
Perform detailed mechanical design and prepare final design documentation.
Participate in laboratory testing and certification activities.
Release finalized and certified designs for production.
Collaborate within an international R&D team across multiple countries.
Coordinate with laboratories, grid companies, EMEA Country Services Unites CSUs, production facilities, and suppliers.
Contribute to building and maintaining a knowledge management and learning platform.
Work on site in Ankara while collaborating remotely with teams in the Netherlands and India.



Qualifications:

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience in the electrical industry preferred.

Skills:

Strong knowledge and experience with 3D CAD and PDM tools, as well as mechanical design within product development.
Understanding of DFSS (Design for Six Sigma) principles.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Accountable, creative, and aligned with Eaton’s Leadership Model behaviors.
Demonstrates strong drive, ownership of tasks, and a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
Effective team player with the ability to collaborate across disciplines.
Eagerness to learn and apply Eaton processes, project methodologies, and engineering tools.
Ability to work effectively in a diverse, matrix organization with international teams in EMEA, India, and China.
Willingness to travel to the Netherlands for up to one month when needed.
Self‑starter with a high degree of independence and ownership.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
