What you’ll do:

• This role is responsible for developing engineering solutions that enhance the performance, reliability, maintainability, and lifecycle value of existing aerospace products and systems.
• The role supports retrofit, modification, and upgrade initiatives through technical assessments, design development, certification compliance, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring solutions meet customer requirements, airworthiness regulations, and business objectives.
• Develop retrofit, modification, and upgrade solutions for existing aerospace components and systems to address obsolescence, reliability issues, performance improvements, regulatory changes, and customer-driven enhancements.
• Perform engineering assessments on in service components to determine upgrade feasibility, technical impact, certification requirements, and lifecycle benefits.
• Generate and review engineering designs, analyses, and substantiation data to support retrofit and upgrade solutions, including mechanical, electrical, materials, and system-level considerations.
• Ensure all retrofit and modification solutions comply with applicable airworthiness regulations (e.g. FAA, EASA, CAAS), OEM requirements, and industry standards.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new technologies, materials, digital tools, or design approaches to enhance retrofit effectiveness, reduce installation time, and improve long term maintainability.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and MRO partners to ensure retrofit solutions are practical, producible, and supportable in the field.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aircraft Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Internship, capstone project, university research, or aerospace-related project experience is advantageous.
• Basic understanding of engineering design and analysis principles.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, materials, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering fundamentals.
• Familiarity with CAD tools such as CATIA, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, NX, or similar software is preferred.
• Basic understanding of aerospace regulations and certification processes is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering documentation preparation."
