What you’ll do:
Lead the development and deployment of molded inductor technologies and product platforms with primary responsibility for material formulation, molding process innovation, and product design execution. Direct cross-functional efforts spanning magnetic design, powder materials engineering, process development, reliability qualification, manufacturing transfer, and customer application support to deliver high-performance, cost-competitive products. Drive technology roadmaps focused on advanced magnetic materials, high-current density designs, miniaturization, and manufacturing excellence, ensuring successful product launches and sustained competitive differentiation in data center, AI, automotive, industrial, and other strategic markets.
- Lead the molded inductor product roadmap, driving innovation in magnetic materials, powder formulations, molding processes, and product platforms.
- Manage and mentor the product development team, ensuring successful execution of design, validation, qualification, and product launch activities.
- Provide technical leadership in magnetic, electrical, mechanical, thermal, material, and process design to achieve performance, reliability,manufacturability, and cost targets.
- Drive development of soft magnetic materials, molding technologies, and manufacturing processes to create sustainable competitive advantages.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Suppliers, and Customers to translate market needs into product requirements and development plans.
- Ensure DFM, DFR, DFC, and quality principles are embedded throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Oversee product verification, reliability qualification, regulatory compliance, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
- Support customer design-in activities, application engineering, and technical issue resolution.
- Lead product industrialization, manufacturing transfer, engineering change management, and product lifecycle management.
- Build organizational capability through talent development, technical mentoring, and succession planning.
- Drive continuous improvement, competitive benchmarking, technology scouting, and intellectual property development.
Qualifications:
- B.S, or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Material Science/Engineering, Powder Metallurgy, or related field
- Minimum 15 + years of hands‑on experience in molded powder inductors
- Magnetic circuit design, electromagnetic theory, power magnetics, core loss, DC bias, saturation, thermal effects, and EMI/EMC.
- Soft magnetic materials, powder formulation, insulation coating, binder systems, and molded magnetic technologies.
- Molded inductor manufacturing processes including powder mixing, molding, curing, plating, process optimization, and scale-up.
- Mechanical, thermal, and reliability design of magnetic components.
- Electromagnetic simulation, prototyping, characterization, and validation methods.
- AEC-Q200 qualification, reliability engineering, failure analysis, FMEA, and root cause investigation.
- Power electronics applications including AI servers, computing, automotive, industrial, and energy systems.
- DFM, DFR, DFC, APQP, PPAP, product lifecycle management, and engineering change control.
- Technical leadership in product industrialization, manufacturing transfer, supplier development, and customer support.
