What you’ll do:

This Manager - Cybersecurity role is a senior leadership position responsible for building and leading Eaton's cybersecurity governance, risk, compliance (GRC), and Security Operations Center (SOC) capabilities in India. The position oversees security operations, risk management, regulatory compliance, incident response, security awareness programs, and the development of a long-term cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives. It requires close collaboration with IT, Engineering, Operations, Legal, HR, and global cybersecurity teams to integrate security into business processes while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Build and inspire a multi-disciplinary GRC and SOC organization; hire leaders and specialists; drive onboarding, development and engagement; and champion diversity and succession planning.
• SOC Services Oversight: Define the SOC operating model, deploy SIEM and threat-intelligence tools, manage 24×7 monitoring and investigations, and drive continuous improvement.
• Risk Management & Compliance: Lead risk assessments, design treatment plans, embed risk thinking in projects and vendor relationships, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strategy & Planning: Develop multi-year SOC roadmaps aligned with global security strategy and India business priorities; manage budgets and measure ROI.
• Business Collaboration: Partner with IT, Engineering, Operations, Legal, HR and other functions to integrate security into business processes and decisions.
• Awareness & Training: Drive a security-first culture through tailored awareness programs, phishing simulations and leadership engagement.
• Incident Response & Crisis Management: Own the regional incident-response plan, lead containment and recovery efforts, coordinate with the global CSIRT, and conduct after-action reviews.
• Policy & Process Improvement: Ensure policies and controls are embedded in operations; review their effectiveness and close audit gaps.
• Global Collaboration: Represent India in global security councils, share insights, adopt global initiatives locally, and tailor solutions to Eaton’s business context.
• Quality & Continuous Improvement: Ensure quality through daily management practices with strong collaboration and accountability across products and stakeholders; optimize standard operating procedures while driving continuous improvement and innovation in operational services.
• Incident Response, internal investigations and some tool management will move all back to the us allowing for the team to focus on areas that they have control over based on rules and regulations 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field required; a Master’s degree (Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or business management) is preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

• Total 15+ years of experience including senior leadership roles, 5-7 years in cybersecurity, IT risk, GRC and/or SOC management.

Skills:

• Proven record of designing and operating formal GRC programs and mature SOCs at a large multinational.
• Extensive compliance and audit experience, including preparing for and responding to regulatory examinations and penetration tests.

Technical knowledge
• Expertise in SOC technologies (SIEM, EDR, SOAR).
• Familiarity with regulatory landscapes (India PDP Act, CERT-In guidelines, GDPR and other regimes).
• Preferred: Operational Technology / ICS security, cloud security architectures and zero-trust implementations.

Soft skills
• Strategic vision and risk-management expertise; executive presence and emotional intelligence.
• Outstanding leadership, interpersonal and negotiation skills; proven ability to build and engage high-performing teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication — comfortable briefing leaders and translating security into clear business language.
