Internship: Engineering (Air to Air Refueling) - Davenport, IA

Are you an Engineering major looking for a fun engineering experience this summer?  If so, join us in the world of aerospace!  Eaton Mission Systems is seeking four (4) interns to work with our dynamic team in a fast-paced, aerospace and defense manufacturing environment at our growing Davenport, Iowa facility. Eaton’s internship program offers real world experience and mentoring through a variety of activities and assignments.  Pay is calculated by your college status.

Job Description
 

• Depending on your academic specialty, you could be working within a mechanical, software, or an electrical capacity for the duration of your internship.
• As part of the Engineering team, you will be applying standard engineering principles to well defined problems of basic complexity.
• Employ the appropriate discipline processes, practices, and tools to ensure that responsibilities are completed to meet the required project requirements.
• Work with Engineering team members or collaborate with other departments as part of an Integrated Product Team (IPT) and contribute to the performance of the IPT to ensure that technical expectations are met or exceeded.

Key Responsibilities
 

• Develop new products and execute the necessary program plans required to ensure that product development requirements are met.
• Participate in component testing, data acquisition setup, performance testing, and system assembly.
• Research and develop new related technologies as needed.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications
 

• Must have completed at least one year with a major in Engineering at an accredited institution.
• Minimum overall cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher (please do not round).
• Relocation is not being offered for this position, candidate must reside/attend school within 50 miles of Davenport, IA.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without Company sponsorship on an ongoing basis.
• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR/EAR or have the ability to be authorized under licenses from Department of State and Department of Commerce. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications
 

• Experience with problem solving.
• Experience presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
• Experience writing test plans, procedures, and reports.
