Eaton’s Bussmann Division is currently seeking a Global Project Lead. This is a hybrid position (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week) based at our Ellisville, MO location. Relocation assistance will be provided to candidates currently residing within the US/PR.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $93750.03 - 137500.04 a year.

What you’ll do:
Are you passionate about embedded systems and working with a global collaborative team to innovate products? As a key technical leader, you'll guide the journey of our products from initial concept to market launch and beyond. In this role, you will tackle complex engineering challenges and create state-of-the-art electronic products and accessories. Innovate system solutions that excel in cost, functionality, and manufacturability. Drive the advancement of embedded electronics, utilize engineering tools effectively, and lead process improvement. Collaborate with contract manufacturing partners and our own facilities to bring your innovative designs to life.
You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with global teams, manage both new and existing product development, overseeing tasks and guiding them. This includes coordinating design and manufacturing efforts with electronic suppliers and efficiently handling multiple projects. You will work closely with our marketing, project managers, and other stakeholders to prioritize projects and provide feedback/estimates based on customer requirements.
Effective coordination with various functional areas and external partners is crucial. You'll be responsible for setting project schedules and budgets, monitoring activities, and implementing corrective actions when necessary.
Due to the global scope of this role, the position will require the successful candidate to work outside of normal business hours and travel domestically and internationally (~10%).
Qualifications:
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic product design including experience with electronic hardware and firmware
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing products to meet UL safety requirements and working with UL for certification
- Direct experience working with global PCBA Contract Manufacturers
- Understanding of electrical distribution systems & their protection components
- Experience with Agile development and DevOps principles
- Knowledge of electrical engineering disciplines such as circuit design, microprocessors, firmware, RTOSs, signal processing, sensing technologies, electro-mechanical systems & serial communications
