Cyber Security Architect

Job Description:

Build and lead cybersecurity technical team and resources with diverse technical capabilities to focus on driving secure development lifecycle process across Eaton engineering teams. Lead effort to prepare and review assessment reports and provide guidance to junior cybersecurity engineers. Advise and perform highly complex research, design and development of cybersecurity features, platforms, and solutions to help secure Eaton end to end digital solution. Serve as Eaton cybersecurity expert, providing leadership with broad based technical direction and guidance to division. Help develop, coordinate and execute policies, methods and procedures that cut across the division for specific functional areas in cybersecurity. Work with product and platform teams across Eaton to identify and design technical security architectures, solutions, and controls specifically on cloud-based solutions. Work with technical leads in various organizations and oversee critical aspects of the software, firmware and hardware cybersecurity designs and implementations. Ensure that the implementation of cybersecurity aspects of products and solutions are sound and that can scale to meet our customers’ need. Manage and lead verification efforts for cybersecurity implementation across the organization and work with third party certification agencies like UL, BSI and TUV to drive product certification. Evangelize and provide technical security trainings to software developers and test engineers across the organization and evangelizing the importance of cybersecurity in other functions like sales, services, and product and project management. Lead efforts in participating in industry technical cybersecurity standard and regulations discussions and reviews. Position is fixed location based in Moon Township office; however, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed.
 

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Security, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or a directly related field plus seven (7) years of experience in all phases of Secure Product Development Lifecycle, including conducting architecture reviews and designing protection mechanisms. 

Must have seven (7) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): 
-    Security component development in C/C++/C# or Java 
-    Designing and implementation of security, reliability, availability, scalability and performance
-    Architecture, component and code-level reviews with an eye towards embedded system or application security

Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
-    Implementing security leveraging HTTPS 

Must have one (1) year of experience in each of the following (experience may be gained concurrently): 
-    threat modeling
-    identifying security requirements
-    framing security policies
-    Practical experience with cryptography algorithms, including AES, 3DES, SHA, and Elliptic curve 

40 hours/week, 9:00am-5:00pm
