Associate Engineer - Aerospace FMC Fuel
Location: Hadapsar, Pune, Maharashtra, IND, 411013
Department: Research & Development Engineering

What you’ll do:
"The primary responsibility of this role is to design and detail Aerospace Fuel System Products to meet design, manufacturability & assembly requirements in alignment with Aerospace & Industry standards.
• Perform detailed engineering design of Aerospace Fuel System Products.
• Lead sustaining engineering, VA/VE and runner projects independently.
• Perform design using CAD platforms such as CATIA, PRO/E, AutoCAD etc.
• Perform drawing quality check for the drawings prepared by self and peers.
• Perform Design for Manufacturability & Assembly assessment.
• Provide manufacturability perspective for early concepts and help validate through building appropriate designs. Assist with building prototypes that help in proof of concepts.
• Interact with global cross functional teams"
"• Position’s focus will be to prepare product design & drawings in compliance to standards as per prevailing engineering practices for Aerospace.
• Creation of 3D models and drawings of the new product designs and modification of existing product drawings and models.
• Person in this position should be proficient in CAD tools such as CATIA, Pro/E, Solid works and AutoCAD to prepare CAD models and complete detailed design/drawings.
• Person should have good knowledge of dimensioning standards, tolerance standards & tolerance stack-up and engineering calculations as required to support design integrity.
• Should have understanding of DFM & A (Design for Manufacturability & Assembly). Shall leverage DFMA principles while working on engineering designs and drawings.
• Utilize the PLM (Enovia) system for documentation control and workflow.
• Creates and sustains processes for design standards and procedures governing product design methods, documents and data controls.
• Desirable to have experience of working with Aerospace Products & Standards
• Should be able to analyze the work package and prepare a schedule for delivery.
• Ensure first time right quality and on time delivery of engineering documents & drawings.
• Drive Process Innovations leveraging Lean & DMAIC principles to continuously improve processes. Look for opportunities to improve productivity, learn and collaborate with other teams to adapt best practices.
• Work with global teams. Good communication skills in English (verbal and written) to communicate information effectively to customers, and technical staff.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Aerospace Engineering with 1-3 Years experiece
Skills:
Experience in engineering/product design, preferably in Aerospace Fuel System Products.
"• Proficiency in CAD tools; Preferably CATIA/ ProE and experience with PLM tools e.g. ENOVIA
• Proven track record in Engineering Designs, Drawings, Tolerance Stack up analysis.
• Demonstrated expertise in Design for Manufacturing & Assembly. Expertise in Manufacturing Processes and Product qualification to analyze current product designs and manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of cost out (VAVE) framework such as standardization and various types of costs (Overheads, material, labor, re-engineering, testing costs). Cross functional project execution experience with Cost out project focus. Have awareness of 'Should costing' approaches utilizing cost models and analysis results.
• Experience with the Design for Six Sigma (DFSS), DMAIC methodology and tools necessary for product engineering.
• Strong and effective communication skills"
