POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking experienced, passionate, and resourceful senior full-stack or backend engineers to join our Engineering teams. As an engineer, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various teams, contributing to the design and development of our backend and web applications. Being customer-facing, many of our engineering teams play a crucial role in shaping the customers' impression of our company.

This position will be ideally hybrid from our Mexico City office as part of our expanding site location. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design & implement features robust enough for our exploding scale.
• Drive the implementation of new features—break down complex problems into their bare essentials, translate this complexity into elegant design, and create high-quality, maintainable code.
• Create and maintain test automation to enable continuous integration and development velocity.
• Design & deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs to drive the interactions between our client applications and backend services.
• Create high-quality, user-focused experiences with React
• Collaborate with and mentor other engineers while providing thoughtful guidance using code, design, and architecture reviews.
• Work cross-functionally with other teams (data science, design, product, marketing, analytics).
• Leverage a broad skill set and help us quickly implement and learn new technologies.
• Provide and receive design and implementation evaluations and improve per iteration.
• Debug production issues across our services infrastructure and multiple levels of our stack.
• Think about distributed systems & services and care passionately about producing high-quality code.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• 4+ years of development experience in Software Engineering
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Proficient in at least one modern programming language, C#, Java, Python, Go, and Scala.
• Hands-on experience working with various databases (DynamoDB, MySql, ElasticSearch) and data pipeline technologies.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery tools.
• Experienced in developing and executing functional and integration tests.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and be biased towards action and results.
• Experience with Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with modern web development frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue is a strong plus.
• Experience building single-page applications (SPAs) and micro front-end architectures is a strong plus.
