What is the role:

  • As a Principal SW Integration & Test Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to integrate and test communication systems, including User Equipment (UE), gNodeB, 5G Core, and NMS products. Leveraging your extensive 12+ years of expertise in testing Wireless Communications and Networking products, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our systems.
  • This position will report to the Director – Quality Assurance and work closely with Software, Hardware and Platform Engineering teams.
  • This position is based in our Arlington, TX office.

What you will do:

  • End-to-End System Testing Strategy:
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for end-to-end system testing of the NTN communication system.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of all software and hardware components.

  • Test Case Design and Execution:
  • Create detailed test cases covering features, functions, performance, scalability, stability, and security.
  • Execute both automated and manual test cases, documenting results and recommending corrective actions.

  • Tool Evaluation and Recommendation:
  • Investigate and recommend new tools for development of the product.
  • Focus on test architecture infrastructure, design, and methodologies.

  • Mentoring and Support:
  • Mentor junior team members, sharing your knowledge and best practices.
  • Reproduce customer-reported issues and validate fixes.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 12+ years of experience in testing Wireless communications and networking products (a must).
  • Must be able to demonstrate deep understanding of end-to-end signaling (UE to Core Network – Access Stratum and Non-Access Stratum) flow in 5G networks.
  • Strong expertise in 5G Core network components and functions.
  • Strong expertise in TCP/IP network fundamentals (L2 and L3 protocols).
  • Hands on experience with KVM (or equivalent), Kubernetes, and AWS (or equivalent).
  • Familiarity with Network Management Systems and FCAPS concept.
  • Knowledge of RF signal measurement and modulation concepts.
  • Familiarity with UE, gNodeB and Core Network simulator from Keysight/Viavi or equivalent, Signal Analyzer and Generator from R&S or equivalent.
  • Strong experience in Requirements Analysis, Test Planning & Strategy, Test Case Design, Test Execution and Management, Defect Management, Test Metrics & Reporting, Manual & Automation Strategy and Continuous Improvement.
  • Hands-on experience in Test Case execution, analyzing logs/traces/Wireshark, and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in designing, implementing, and operating test harnesses.
  • Experience with various tools and applications: Test Management Systems (Zephyr/Test Rail), Confluence, Bug Tracking (Jira), Version control (GIT), and Continuous Integration (Jenkins).
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash).
  • Past experience with telecom OEM vendor is a plus.
We are redefining how satellites are designed, manufactured, and used—so we’re looking for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit activities. If that’s your experience – then we’ll be immediately wow-ed.
