Summary of Overall Job

The Senior Platform Engineer – Salesforce & Integrations designs, develops, and maintains scalable business applications, Salesforce solutions, and enterprise integrations across e.Republic's technology ecosystem.

This hybrid role combines advanced full-stack software engineering with hands-on Salesforce development, architecture, and automation. The position partners with Engineering, Salesforce Operations, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, secure solutions that accelerate business outcomes, reduce technical debt, and improve operational efficiency.

Essential Duties

Software Engineering & Application Development

• Design, develop, and maintain full-stack applications using PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, Vue.js, and SQL.
• Build scalable APIs, services, and integrations connecting Salesforce with internal and external systems.
• Maintain application architecture, security, performance, and reliability.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, CI/CD, deployment, and production troubleshooting.

Salesforce Development & Platform Engineering

• Design, develop, and maintain Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL, and Flow.
• Build and troubleshoot complex automations, triggers, integrations, and asynchronous processes.
• Optimize Salesforce data models, system performance, and platform maintainability.
• Support Salesforce configuration, permissions, deployments, and technical issue resolution.
• Partner with Salesforce Operations to translate business requirements into sustainable technical solutions.

Architecture & Cross-Platform Integration

• Collaborate with Engineering and Salesforce teams on architecture decisions and shared technical standards.
• Design secure, scalable integrations using REST APIs, webhooks, and event-driven patterns.
• Identify architectural gaps, redundant functionality, and opportunities to simplify systems.
• Ensure new solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, and long-term technology strategy.

Delivery, Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Independently own complex technical initiatives from design through production release.
• Break large projects into smaller, measurable delivery milestones.
• Support technical proof-of-concepts with clear feasibility assessments and production-readiness requirements.
• Proactively identify technical debt, automation opportunities, and process improvements.
• Partner across teams to share workloads, remove blockers, and accelerate delivery.

Strategic Thinking & Communication

• Anticipate business and technology needs and recommend solutions or priority adjustments.
• Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and recommendations clearly and proactively.
• Escalate material blockers early, including business impact and proposed resolution.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to balance immediate business needs with long-term platform sustainability.
• Mentor developers, share technical knowledge, and strengthen engineering practices.

Technical Skills

Required

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience with PHP, Laravel, JavaScript, SQL, and REST API development.
• Hands-on Salesforce development experience with Apex, SOQL, Flow, and Lightning Web Components.
• Experience integrating Salesforce with external applications and services.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, object-oriented programming, and API architecture.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and production deployments.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex application, Salesforce, and integration issues.
• Working knowledge of application security, data integrity, and scalable architecture.

Preferred

• Experience with Vue.js, TypeScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
• Experience with AWS, Docker, and cloud infrastructure.
• Salesforce Platform Developer I certification.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and enterprise automation.
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures, message queues, and asynchronous processing.
• Experience with AI/LLM integrations and automation platforms.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
