Job Description

Designation: Engineer, Technology System 

Main Duties/Responsibilities 

• Create and implement great technology to produce high quality, reliable products that meet all performance and functional criteria. 

• Continuously improve and develop experimental techniques, and/or simulation methodologies and design practices to enhance team and organizational capabilities. 

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technology research into final product designs. 

• Proactively resolve engineering problems and validate solutions using appropriate test methods. 

• Follow established Dyson methodologies and best engineering practices to ensure robust design solutions are delivered on time, on spec, on cost, on quality. 

• Ensure effective and timely communication with all relevant teams and stakeholders. 

• Prepare and participate in design, technical, and research reviews as required. 

• Conduct experimental validation and/or simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD, 1-D, system, mathematical modelling, etc.), analyse results, and communicate findings clearly – ensuring thorough documentation. 

• Take full ownership of defining, capturing, and documenting relevant requirements for technology and performance. 

• Build and maintain strong working relationships across cross-functional teams from project initiation to completion.

• Interpret complex data to support informed decision-making and project direction. 

• Demonstrate technical leadership by supporting peers, sharing expertise, and contributing to problem-solving discussions and technical reviews.
