Job Description

Business Partnership:  

• Closely partner with business stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and provide BI solutions and recommendations 
• Recognize and recommend value-add opportunities not directly stated by stakeholders 
• Actively communicate with stakeholders on priorities and project statuses 
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed 

Dashboard Development:  

• Conceptualize, build, implement and maintain complex dashboards and reports in Power BI for executives and cross-functional teams 
• Lead requirement gathering, identifying key business needs, resolving ambiguity and ensuring accuracy 
• Actively communicate with stakeholders on project status, questions and UAT 
• Launch and enable end users with training and documentation 

Operational Improvement:  

• Evaluate, design, implement and lead operational processes and best practices for our BI environment, development and deployment to improve efficiency and effectiveness 
• Support a data governance framework that includes policies, procedures and best practices for data management to ensure data quality, reliability and security  
• Support the continuous enhancement of our BI environment structure to optimize how users access insights 

Support Broader BI Ecosystem: 

• Collaborate with our direct team and functional analytics teams to design and maintain an optimal BI environment. 
• Provide training and support to analytics teams and end-users, ensuring they can effectively leverage our BI environment for self-service and develop an understanding of the data, metrics and dashboards, helping drive business value and improve data literacy across the company 
• Enhance BI environment through continuous improvement of capabilities, operations, and support 
• Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI technologies and methodologies to enhance the company’s BI capabilities

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10+ years of BI tools and implementation experience 
• 5+ years of experience in Cloud based technologies for Data Warehousing and BI Initiatives 
• 6+ years of strong knowledge and experience with Power BI for reporting and visualization 
• Bachelor’s degree

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Strong knowledge of DAX/MDX and thorough knowledge of Power BI functions 
• Knowledge of row-level security implementation and overall Power BI portal security for workspace, apps and groups 
• Experience in creating prototypes (wireframes, MVPs) to demo design and create requirements 
• Experience working with Snowflake 
• Strong conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities 
• Well-organized and able to prioritize and coordinate simultaneous tasks and projects while addressing customer needs 
• Strong interpersonal and oral and written communication skills 
• Multiple BI Project lifecycle implementations preferred – Planning, Blueprint, Implementation, Go-Live and Support 
• Knowledge of Snowflake, Salesforce, NetSuite, Power BI highly preferred. 
• Communicate effectively in verbal and written English. 
• Demonstrate ability to work in team environment and help resolve issues 
• Communicate status / risks to manager regarding delivering solution on time

DOE, salary $120K - $130K, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401K, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience/education and location.
