Job Summary
DuPont is seeking a visionary and strategic leader to join our team as the Director of Digital Innovation and Enterprise Technology. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of DuPont, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to unlock business value and drive growth, and to be part of a transformative period as we separate our Electronics business and stand up a 'new' DuPont.
This position is pivotal in driving our digital transformation initiatives, ensuring industry-leading reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of enterprise infrastructure and platforms, advancing our data analytics strategy, and leading a team of talented professionals to achieve strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in digital innovation, data analytics, and enterprise technology management, with a strong focus on delivering value and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
The Director of Digital Innovation will be part of the ‘new’ DuPont Global Leadership team of the Information Technology & Process (IT&P) function and will be a direct report to the CIO. The successful candidate will have responsibility for a global team of approx. 100 regular employees and a varying contractor workforce, and total budget responsibility of >$40MM.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Program Leadership
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure digital transformation alignment with business strategy and top priorities.
Define and promote the vision, strategy, and operating model for Digital Innovation, Enterprise Technology, and Analytics, including the development of roadmaps, governance, policies, and controls.
Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary and global team of technology professionals focused on delivering business value while attracting and developing top talent.
Ensure timely delivery of reliable, efficient, and effective digital, analytics, and technology solutions.
Digital Innovation
Drive digital transformation initiatives across the organization, leveraging emerging technologies to enable growth, improve productivity, and enhance business processes and decision-making.
Elevate commercial excellence, advance customer-centric innovation, and drive operational excellence through the implementation and deployment of AI and other digital emerging technologies.
Lead AI/GenAI Strategy by
Deploying GenAI for everyday task productivity, with secure internal GenAI tools and leveraging 3rd party solutions (e.g., MS Copilot)
Reshaping key processes for efficiency and effectiveness with Gen AI ‘Knowledge Finders’ (RAG systems) and GenAI ‘Virtual Assistants/Advisors’ (AI Agents)
Inventing new experiences, offerings, and business models powered by AI o … while managing risk through a strong Responsible AI framework.
Build digital, data analytics, and AI fluency across the enterprise with comprehensive education, communication, and engagement strategies.
Foster continuous exploration and learning to accelerate digital innovation, matching key business priorities to the best feasible and viable emerging technologies.
Manage investments and ensure relentless value realization and tracking.
Analytics
Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify key business questions and translate them into actionable analytics initiatives to drive data-driven decision-making. · Maintain and improve the reliability and effectiveness of analytics and business intelligence solutions.
Expand the data foundation and enable simplified data and dashboard access through the advancement of our Data Lake program, operational reporting modernization, and data products marketplace adoption.
Drive a data-driven culture and improve data literacy with a focus on self-service analytics.
Enterprise Technology
Ensure the reliability, efficiency, and effectiveness of enterprise infrastructure and platforms, including cloud, data centers, networks, enterprise application integration, and end-user computing.
Drive continuous improvement of performance, security, flexibility, and lower TCO through a modern network.
Meet long-term scalability and financial goals through a secure agile cloud platform and right sized on-premise data centers.
Maximize end-user productivity through a flexible work environment, optimized device delivery/management, virtual PCs, and whenever-wherever calling.
Own relationship and budget of all vendors in this area.
Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field field
15+ years of Global experience working in a similar role Leadership role
Senior leadership experience in digital transformation, data analytics, and/or enterprise technology.
Outstanding leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
Proven capability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
History of building and leading high-performance teams.
In-depth knowledge of digital solutions, AI, generative AI, data analytics platforms, data modeling, and data visualization tools.
Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Competence in managing large programs with multiple products and solutions while adhering to aggressive release schedules.
Expertise in network architecture, including the setup and management of LANs, WANs, VPNs, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks.
Comprehensive understanding of cloud services and deployment models.
Strong grasp of business processes and the ability to align data analytics with organizational goals.
Preferred:
Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, MBA, or Engineering
