The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. The team delivers high-quality information through activities that include development of essential, building infrastructure capabilities to meet client needs and implementing data standards and governance.

  • DTCC offers a flexible/hybrid model of 3 days onsite and 2 days remote (onsite Tuesdays, Wednesdays and a third day unique to each team or employee).

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Design, architect, develop, test, deploy, and maintain highly scalable enterprise software applications, data platforms, and cloud-native solutions.
  • Lead the design and implementation of complex data pipelines, integrations, and ELT/ETL processes using Snowflake, Python, and modern data engineering practices.
  • Architect and develop modern, responsive web applications and user interfaces using Angular, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and related frameworks.
  • Design, optimize, and govern enterprise data models, database objects, and high-performance SQL solutions within Snowflake.
  • Lead the design and development of APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures that support enterprise-scale platforms.
  • Drive cloud adoption and architecture decisions utilizing AWS services and cloud-native design patterns.
    Own technical solution design and provide leadership during architecture reviews, design discussions, and technology evaluations.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development platforms such as Kiro, Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, and Snowflake Cortex to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery velocity.
  • Lead code reviews and promote software engineering best practices, coding standards, security requirements, and design principles.
  • Drive CI/CD modernization, deployment automation, observability, and DevOps excellence across the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex application, infrastructure, and data-related issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing sustainable solutions.
  • Partner closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, SREs, and stakeholders to translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and peers, fostering engineering excellence and knowledge sharing.
  • Create and maintain architecture documentation, technical standards, operational procedures, and engineering best practices.
    Ensure solutions meet enterprise requirements for performance, scalability, availability, resiliency, compliance, and security.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, AI capabilities, and engineering practices to drive innovation, automation, and continuous improvement across the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 7 years of related software engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience working within Agile software development environments.
  • Experience leading technical initiatives, architectural design efforts, and large-scale application development projects.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering cloud-native and data-intensive applications in enterprise environments.

 

Talents Needed for Success:

  • 7+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with a track record of delivering complex enterprise applications.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Python, object-oriented programming, software design patterns, and application architecture.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake, including data modeling, performance optimization, data warehousing, data governance, and ELT/ETL development.
  • Extensive experience developing enterprise web applications using Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and building scalable RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, application architecture, integration patterns, and system scalability.
  • Advanced knowledge of relational databases, SQL optimization, data modeling, and large-scale data processing.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, ECS, EC2, API Gateway, CloudWatch, RDS, and related cloud technologies.
  • Experience evaluating and applying AI-assisted software development tools such as Kiro, Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, Snowflake Cortex, or similar technologies.
  • Understanding of AI/ML concepts and emerging capabilities within modern data and application platforms.
  • Strong experience with Git-based source control, branching strategies, code review processes, and release management.
  • Deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, DevOps practices, and automation frameworks.
  • Experience implementing automated testing strategies, quality engineering practices, and performance testing approaches.
  • Proven ability to lead technical design discussions and influence architecture decisions across teams.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and root-cause analysis skills.
  • Ability to balance hands-on development responsibilities with technical leadership and mentoring.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to delivering reliable, high-quality solutions.
  • Passion for continuous learning, engineering excellence, innovation, automation, and AI-enabled software delivery.
