To support our continued growth, the LCP (Large Capital Project) organization at dsm-firmenich in India is preparing for a significant increase in workload over the next few years. To ensure the successful execution of our expanding project portfolio, we are seeking talented individuals to join our team.

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Project Manager. In this role you will be responsible for leading the execution of CAPEX project across its end-to-end lifecycle, achieving project objectives (quality, time, budget) and defined expectations.

Key to be successful in this role is a 20+ years of experience in handling large industrial projects with more than 10 million Euro investment, showing seniority and content authority in multiple engineering disciplines.

Your Key Responsibilities

 

  • Supporting Business during early project phase (pre-feasibility) with initial requirement definition, option generation, initial scoping and cost appraisals.
  • Translating the “Business Needs” into a project approach; defining, documenting and securing the Project Execution Plan and Contracting Strategy, while complying to relevant DF requirements and work processes.
  • Managing project cost estimation, planning/scheduling, project benchmarking, effective cost control/forecasting, effective project progress control, contracting/procurement-plans, cash flow management and financial status of the project.
  • Anticipated and manage project risk with an operational and strategic views.
  • Improving capital stewardship/efficiency with proper scope management by using CAPEX Excellence and other Value Improvement Practices (increasing revenues, decreasing expenses and reducing the capital employed).
  • Managing the project during feasibility, planning and construction phases within all Safety, Sustainability, Security and Quality requirements as set by the GOE and relevant BU/site.
  • Managing the project interfaces with all parties involved, including internal and external communication and transfer of relevant project data according to a communication plan.
  • Managing all external parties like vendors, engineering and construction companies in line with contract strategy, contracts and delivery models.
  • Leading permit applications, required for the CAPEX project. 
  • Leading commissioning activities, preparing a smooth Handover to operations/owner organization, supporting start up activities.
     

You bring

 

  • 15-20 years of experience in handling large greenfield & brownfield industrial projects, with investment of more than 10-12 mio Euro.
  • Technical university degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical disciplines. Certifications like PMP shall have additional advantage.
  • Showing seniority and content authority (by proven track record) in multiple disciplines within the CAPEX work field (e.g. project management, project engineering, project control management, project procurement management).
  • Organization and stakeholder management skills, sociable, easy connector
