Project Manager (Manufacturing Facilities Construction and Technology Transfer)

This senior Project Manager position is responsible for the integrated management of the full project lifecycle (from Idea Evaluation through launch, PMP phases 1-5), process improvement initiatives, cost saving projects, and/or new business development projects. You will develop and manage partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. You are responsible for creating and maintaining the project plan and schedule, owning the project budgets and spending, and ensuring that project objectives and milestones are met on time, within budget constraints and with appropriate quality. This position will manage manufacturing facilities construction projects in addition to technology transfer projects.

Your key responsibilities
- Manage high scale projects that span 12-36 months
- Coach and develop junior project and portfolio managers
- Manage customer requests, customer communications and ensure that project timelines and deliverables are met
- Escalate risk to the leadership team and course correct as needed
This position is eligible for the DSM Hybrid Working model, spending 2-3 days per week in the Exton, PA office and the balance of the week in a home office. You must reside in a geography that is commutable via car to Exton, PA for regular customer meetings and weekly in-office collaboration days. The greater Baltimore and Philadelphia areas are preferred.

You bring
- Minimum 10 years of industry experience required plus minimum 6 years of experience managing multi-disciplinary projects or teams in a highly regulated environment required
- Manufacturing facilities construction projects and technology transfer projects experience in the medical device industry and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferable
- Project Management Professional (PMP®) Certification is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills to choose the best solution and solve problems
- Influencing, mentoring and strong communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree required, with preference for a degree in a technical discipline
