As Global Logistics Data Scientist you will be responsible to support Network Performance & Analytics by providing cross-functional analytical and decision support services, including advanced reporting, enterprise data analysis, and data management. You combine internal and external data sources leveraging DSM-Firmenich technology platforms to deliver integrated insights. Additionally, is responsible for supporting Global Logistics continuous improvement by executing data analytics and supporting relevant projects as part of Strategy. This includes consulting and driving tactical and operational improvements based on deep-dive analytics and business-specific supply chain insights using data-driven solutions.

Your key responsibilities
- Providing cross-functional analytical and decision support services, including advanced reporting, enterprise data analysis, and data management.
- Design and implement data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate insights and recommendations to stakeholders, enabling data-driven discussions.
- Design, build and support descriptive to predictive analytical tools to improve our operational efficiency, improve customer service, and reduce cost.
- Combine internal and external data sources leveraging DSM-Firmenich technology platforms to deliver integrated insights
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and process automation within the logistics, supply chain functions and BUs
- Designing and developing scalable solutions to complex problems using statistical modeling
- Monitoring relevant Global Logistics KPIs
- Work closely with IT and data engineering teams to ensure the availability, quality, and integrity of data sources necessary for analysis.
- Lead the development of executive & operational decision support services, including enterprise dashboards, intelligence reports, and more advanced analytical services

You bring
- Bachelor or master’s degree in Logistics, Data Analytics, Supply Chain or Economics
- Strong proficiency in data manipulation, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling using tools such as Python, R, or Julia.
- Good understanding in SAP ERP system, knowledge of APO and tools like Every Angle is an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with SQL and cloud database systems such as AWS or CGP
- Comfortable using Microsoft Excel to analyze and summarize data, including graphs, charts, formulas, functions, solvers, and regression analysis.
- Able to identify trends, patterns, and outliers in logistics data and form insights and recommendations.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Power BI for creating insightful visualizations and reports
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools to generate communications
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects/priorities simultaneously
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain analytics is a plus
- Advanced level of English
