Job Description

At DraftKings, AI is becoming an integral part of both our present and future, powering how work gets done today, guiding smarter decisions, and sparking bold ideas. It’s transforming how we enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and unlock new possibilities. Our teams are energized by innovation and readily embrace emerging technology. We’re not waiting for the future to arrive. We’re shaping it, one bold step at a time. To those who see AI as a driver of progress, come build the future together.

The Crown Is Yours

As an Analyst II on the Promo Intelligence squad within the Sportsbook Analytics team, you’ll work cross-functionally to develop and improve data-informed promotional decisioning - helping DraftKings deliver the right offer to the right customer at the right time. Our team drives insights that empower DraftKings Sportsbook to be a market leader and the first choice for millions of customers today and tomorrow. You’ll own experiment design and measurement, contribute to feature and dataset development that supports modeling efforts, and communicate results clearly to drive iteration.

What you'll do as an Analyst II

  • Own experimentation end-to-end by designing A/B tests, defining success metrics and guardrails, measuring results, and delivering insights and recommendations.

  • Partner closely with Operations, Product, and Data Science to support model-informed promotional decisioning—translating business objectives and operational constraints into analytical plans, datasets, and measurable outcomes.

  • Lead feature ideation and dataset design by identifying new customer and betting behavior signals, writing advanced SQL to create model-ready and analysis-ready datasets, and collaborating with Engineering to productionize reliable data pipelines.

  • Build measurement and monitoring for performance and business impact, including recurring reporting and dashboards that help teams understand what’s working, where performance is changing, and what to test next.

  • Craft clear communication through concise memos, experiment plans, and presentations tailored to operators, product managers, and technical partners—turning analyses into decisions.

  • Mentor and raise the bar by sharing best practices in experimentation, measurement, and analytical rigor to elevate the team’s capabilities.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a quantitatively oriented field (Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Business Analytics, Economics, or similar).

  • 2+ years of product analytics, advanced analytics, or data science experience.

  • Strong understanding of A/B testing and hands-on experience designing and measuring experiments to inform business decisions.

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience building clean, reliable datasets for analysis and/or modeling.  Comfortable engaging with core ML concepts and outputs (e.g., feature design, modeling approaches, monitoring and evaluation).

  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) and comfort building dashboards and recurring reporting for stakeholders.

  • Interest in personalized marketing decisioning and optimization, and curiosity about the tradeoffs involved in scaling automated approaches.

  • Ability to translate large datasets into clear, actionable recommendations for diverse stakeholders.

  • A proactive and curious mindset, eager to master the digital sportsbook space and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
