Senior RF Engingeer - Wireless
Location: Derrimut, VIC, Australia
The opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior RF Engineer IBC to join our Technology and Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality In Building Coverage and Distributed Antenna System designs that support the deployment of 4G and 5G technologies across new and existing sites.
Working within a multidisciplinary project team, you will play a key role in the design, coordination and delivery of telecommunications solutions across a range of complex environments including commercial buildings, shopping centres, stadiums, airports, tunnels, rail networks and mining operations.
You will be responsible for ensuring all designs meet customer requirements, industry standards and EME compliance obligations while supporting project delivery through construction and as built phases.
What we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Proven experience delivering IBC and DAS designs within the Australian telecommunications market.
- Strong expertise in DAS plumbing design using iBwave.
- Experience with EME assessments, compliance requirements and mitigation strategies.
- Knowledge of RF planning tools including iBwave, Planet, Atoll or Asset, together with GIS platforms and network performance tools.
- Experience conducting site inspections, feasibility assessments and field support activities.
- Strong understanding of LTE and 5G technologies, mobile network infrastructure and radio network optimisation principles.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills.
- A commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
Desirable experience includes iBwave Advanced certification, 5G integration experience, knowledge of private LTE networks and exposure to rail, mining, IoT or defence communications environments.
