Senior Quality Advisor

Location: Brisbane, QLD, Australia

The Opportunity

Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Senior Quality Advisor to support the delivery of major construction programs and projects.

You will provide quality leadership across all phases of project delivery, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, industry standards, ISO 9001, The Downer Standard (TDS), and Delivery Governance Management (DGM) requirements. 

This opportunity is based from our modern office location in Fortitude Valley with sites being located across the Brisbane region.

Key responsibilities include:

• Embed quality requirements across construction programs and projects. 

• Develop and maintain quality assurance frameworks, plans, registers, and documentation. 

• Lead audits, inspections, surveillance activities, and assurance reviews. 

• Monitor subcontractor and supplier quality performance. 

• Identify, investigate, and manage quality risks, NCRs, and improvement opportunities. 

• Facilitate root cause analysis, corrective actions, and lessons learned. 

• Support testing, commissioning, handover, and project close out activities. 

• Provide quality reporting and stakeholder engagement across project teams and clients. 

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years' experience in construction, utilities, mining, resources, water, or heavy industry environments. 

• Strong knowledge of quality management systems and ISO 9001 requirements. 

• Experience supporting project planning, construction delivery, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

• Strong stakeholder management and client engagement skills. 

• Ability to work independently and influence positive quality outcomes. 

• Strong attention to detail, commercial awareness, and problem solving capability.
