Senior Project Engineer

Location: Melbourne, VIC, Australia

We are currently seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Airports and Specialised Pavements team. The position is ideally suited to candidates experienced in Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL) systems. This role will require national travel and will be responsible for the delivery of various projects. The successful candidate can be based out of Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne or Adelaide.

ABOUT YOU

• Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering along with more than 3 years of Engineering exposure in airports or other related discipline.
• Experience with AGL systems, including installation and commissioning, working on operational airfields and familiarity with regulatory standards such as MOS139 highly regarded.
• A successful track record of proactively building relationships with key clients, stakeholders and developing new business opportunities
• Strong negotiation & problem-solving skills  
• A well-developed understanding of planning, execution and financial reporting of projects
• Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
• A proactive approach to change management with the capacity to lead and inspire teams  
• National travel will be required
• Commitment to quality outcomes with a focus on delivering in full and on time
• Strong safety focus - actively participate in and support Downer Zero Harm initiatives and strategies
