Senior Project Engineer - Infrastructure Services (RRJV)

Location: Wagga Wagga, NSW, Australia

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to join our team, with relevant Infrastructure Services background. This position will support the Riverina Redevelopment Joint Venture (RRJV), which is a 50/50 joint venture between Downer and CPB Contractors to undertake major upgrades and replacement of existing infrastructure and facilities, covering the Albury Wodonga Military Area, Blamey Barracks (Kapooka) and the RAAF Base Wagga. 

 

As this position is based on site at the RAAF Base Wagga Wagga, only Australian citizens will be considered for this role, as the successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Defence Security Clearance. 

 

What you’ll do

The role has a broad remit, with key responsibilities outlined below:

• Managing the effective set-up, delivery and completion of the project including establishing relevant systems.
• Managing and monitoring the completion of the project to ensure programme, budget, quality, environmental and contractual obligations are achieved and taking prompt corrective action where required.
• Effectively managing the handover process to the client.
• Reviewing design and construction plans, schedules, temporary works designs, method statements and job safety analysis and quality.

What you’ll bring

• Be an Australian Citizen willing to obtain a Hold or able to obtain an NV1 Government Security Clearance (must have)

• A relevant Engineering Degree with relevant Infrastructure Services experience.

• Proven engineering experience delivering complex projects of medium to large scale, with multiple stakeholders and deliverables.

• Development methodologies to ensure compliance with scope of works and technical criteria (within discipline)

• Demonstrated commercial experience to include planning up to 3 months ahead, weekly reporting on progress against plan and cost, reporting on risk and developing and implementing risk treatment plans.

• Development of SHEQ process and procedures and managing others in conducting SHEQ process and procedures.

• Candidates must have the ability to travel between sites from time to time.
