Quality Lead

Location: West Pennant Hills, NSW, Australia

As the Quality, ICMS & Technical Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for the governance, improvement and oversight of the Integrated Contract Management System (ICMS) and the Quality & Technical Assurance framework for the Transurban Northern Assets contract.

 

You’ll ensure maintenance, incident response and shutdown activities meet contractual, technical and quality standards through structured audit programs, compliance verification and document control discipline. This role is instrumental in driving predictable, compliant and high‑quality service delivery.

 

Key responsibilities

• Govern and maintain the Integrated Contract Management System (ICMS) 

• Oversee controlled documentation, version management and structured review cycles 

• Lead internal audit, inspection and surveillance programs across Civil, M&E, IR and Closure functions 

• Manage NCRs, concessions and corrective actions through to closure 

• Provide consistent compliance reporting and assurance insights 

• Conduct supplier and subcontractor audits and uplift system performance 

• Oversee access permit documentation governance and compliance 

• Embed technical standards, quality controls and hold points into operational documentation 

• Collaborate with discipline leads and Transurban governance forums 

• Identify trends and drive continuous improvement across quality and assurance processes

 

What you’ll bring

• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management or related discipline 

• Lead Auditor qualification (ISO 9001 or equivalent) desirable 

• Proven experience in quality, compliance or assurance roles 

• Strong understanding of ICMS and document control frameworks 

• Skilled in audit planning and execution, root cause analysis and assurance reporting 

• Highly structured, detail‑focused and confident challenging non‑compliance 

• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence internal teams and subcontractor partners
