Downer’s Energy & Utilities team is delivering essential metering services across the Northern Territory, and we’re looking for an Electrical Metering Supervisor to support and lead a team of electrical contractors working on the NTPW metering program. Based out of our Stuart Park office, this hands‑on role combines field supervision, stakeholder liaison, work quality assurance, and some meter replacement tasks. Every day is varied and offers the chance to support safe, high‑quality meter installations that keep NT communities connected.

In this role, you will:

• Liaise daily with NTPW and the Skilltech office
• Supervise a team of electrical contractors delivering meter installations
• Scope upcoming works and audit completed installations
• Confirm contractor competencies (VOC checks)
• Perform occasional meter replacement work
• Manage stock levels of meters and consumables
• Maintain strong communication with office admin and field crews

ABOUT YOU

• Trade Qualified: Hold an electrical trade qualification and a current NT electrical licence
• Technically Proficient: Previous experience working in a similar role within Metering/Utilities. Have strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with well-developed interpersonal and leadership capabilities
• Qualifications: Hold full working rights in Australia, a current driver's licence, White Card, LVR/CPR, current First Aid, Willingness to undertake a National Police Check and a Working with Children Check
• Team Oriented: Ability to travel to support and audit technicians working in all areas (including overnight stays in regional towns)
