About the role

As a Cloud Engineer, you’ll design, implement, and support secure, scalable Azure infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in building automated, well-architected cloud platforms using Infrastructure as Code and modern DevOps practices.

You’ll also provide Level 2/3 support, ensuring platforms remain resilient, high performing, and aligned to security and governance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure solutions aligned to best practice, security, and customer needs
• Build secure landing zones, networks, and identity integrations
• Work with Azure DevOps (pipelines, repos, CI/CD)
• Drive automation to improve consistency and reduce manual effort
• Implement automated testing, validation, and deployments
• Provide Level 2/3 support, incident response, and root cause analysis
• Apply a security-first mindset across all solutions
• Implement identity, network security, and policy controls
• Ensure alignment with governance and compliance frameworks
• Partner with customers, Microsoft, and internal teams
• Translate business requirements into robust technical solutions

 

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years working with Microsoft Azure
• Hands-on experience with Terraform / Infrastructure as Code
• Exposure to containerisation (Docker, AKS)
• Experience supporting production systems (L2/L3)
• Strong Azure (compute, networking, identity, security)
• Scripting (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
• Cloud governance and security fundamentals

About you

• Security-first mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Currently holds, or is eligible to obtain, an Australian government NV1 security clearance
• Strong communicator who enjoys working with stakeholders
• Proactive, curious, and committed to continuous improvement
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
